Tamar Ilana (K-P-J-I-S)
FLAMENCO! HOLÉ!
Tamar introduces the world of flamenco to students of all ages. The exotic songs and dances will extend their imaginations beyond their ordinary lives and open a whole new musical frontier. Students will learn basic rhythms, a short choreography and a simple song. Naturally, Tamar will provide a captivating demonstration of her talents. This presentation can be adapted to all age levels.

Tamar Ilana was born in Toronto but grew up on the stage while travelling extensively with her mother, an ethnomusicologist, throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. Tamar teaches flamenco song and dance at the Academy of Spanish Dance in Toronto, and heads up her musical group Ventanas since 2011, singing in over 20 languages.
