Toronto-based bluegrass band Swamperella honours the tradition of Louisiana Cajun music while delivering original, sincere and lively titles on their four albums: Swamparella (1997), Black Cat Boogie (2004), On the Line (2007) and Leopard Skin Coat (2013).

The band has five enthusiastic and music-loving members: Soozi Schlanger (violin, vocals, washboard), Peter Jellard (accordion, vocals, violin), Conny Nowé (rhythm guitar), Rachel Melas (bass) and Dave Macdougall (drums, triangle).

Swamperella has honed their musical strings over the years by playing to crowds at the legendary Gladstone Hotel and at popular festivals across Canada.
