Louis-José Houde

Louis-José Houde

We brought Louis-Jose Houde to Toronto in 2017, performing 2 sold out shows as part of the Toronto Francophone Week celebrations of Francophonie en Fête. Toronto loved his performance and he discovered he loves our Toronto Francophone community. We are very excited to be bringing him back in a special performance for Franco-Ontarian Day on September 25th.

Louis-José Houde is one of today’s most successful Francophone performers in the world of stand-up comedy. His first show drew huge crowds, and his second show, Suivre la parade, was presented over 400 times in less than three years, including five sold-out performances at the Bell Center in Montreal. For his third show, Les heures verticales, Mr. Houde won the Olivier Comedy Award for Most Popular Show both in 2014 and 2015, as well as the Félix award for Show of the Year in Comedy in 2013. He is the youngest Quebecois artist to sold more than 1 million tickets from these three shows. He performed his 4th show Préfère Novembre at The Olympia in his hometown, Montreal and has established himself in France with performances at well respected venues such as the famous Point-virgule in Paris.

He has made memorable appearances in movies such as De père en flic (Father and Guns), Le sens de l’humour (A Sense of Humour) or Ca sent la Coupe. He has hosted the Juste pour rire Galas and for the past thirteen years, has hosted the Gala de l’ADISQ, a record for a host. Montreal-based Comedian Louis-José Houde is the top stand-up comedian coming out of Quebec today!
