Tali from York is a poet and songwriter from Ontario, with a gift for writing and singing songs that come from her soul. Her songs are sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but they all speak of love and hope, even in difficult times.

Short description of the show: This year, Tali invites you to climb into the nostalgia machine and enjoy the songs of our parents and grandparents. You will hear their joys, their sorrows and their hopes through the songs of their time. Tali will present well-known songs, celebrated for decades by many great artists, as well as her own original compositions.

17h30-18h00, ROUSLAN TRIO

Rouslan Trio is a young Canadian group composed of former students and laureates of the Russian Conservatories of Minsk and Odessa, where they met during their solid classical training. Rouslan is the violinist, Danyl the pianist and Hassiba the double bassist. Their repertoire is classical. The trio regularly performs in concert, both public and private. Their show last year at the Alliance Française, for the anniversary of Mozart’s birth, was a great success. Today the trio is diversifying by also playing Jazz, experimental music, as well as modern scores.

18h15-18h45, Folklassico

Originally from Cameroon, Tobe Mbarga (Folklassico) trained at a very young age in choirs. Tobe has a deep desire to share this expression with children since they form the future musical generation. It is in this perspective that the children will discover singing. First, they will do exercises to position the body and correctly arrange the voice. Secondly, the participants will do some vocal exercises. Then will follow some songs that will be mounted in several voices. Today he teaches singing, guitar and piano. He is a winner of several music competitions in his native country and on his continent. These honors earned him the position of principal singer at the Italian embassy. In Canada, he was part of the opera Ars Musica and the Opera Joshua.

19h00-19h25, DJ CLEMBOX

Hailing from Cameroon and the Republic of Congo and a proud Toronto native, Clément “CLEMBOX” Moudiongui is quickly establishing himself as a dynamic force in the city’s music scene. With an infectious blend of house and techno to all the current sensations in global francophone music, he captivates audiences with pulsating beats and melodies that resonate late into the night. Inspired by his passion for music, CLEMBOX brings a fresh perspective to each set, blending classic influences with contemporary rhythms.

Tonight marks a major milestone in his burgeoning career as he takes the stage for his first major festival, ready to ignite the crowd with his electrifying energy and smooth mixes. CLEMBOX is ready to make waves not only in Toronto, but around the world as he continues to carve his path in the DJing world.

 

 

19h30-20h10, LeMIND

Well established on the Quebec scene, LeMind is a young entrepreneur who touches on almost everything related to audio and video.

Producer and rapper and DJ for several years, he has 4 projects to his credit in addition to numerous singles. Born with a heart defect, he underwent two open heart surgeries during his life. These events greatly influence his vision of the world and his writing, which will help him stand out as well as with his flow and versatility. Today, this young rapper has accumulated more than a million streams and several radio broadcasts, including a fourth position on the Sirius Xm charts with his single Turbulence released last March.

 

Very active, he has his own recording studio and has directed several music videos in addition to producing several instrumentals for other important artists. LeMind has performed on several big stages such as Club Soda, the Francofolies de Montréal and the Belmont, as well as many other shows across the province. A fan of challenges, he has participated in several End Of The Weak (an international improvisation competition on instrumentals), including the first televised edition, La Fin des Faibles. He has also done a few Battle raps, among others, for the WordUp Battles league, from which he left undefeated.

 

20h15-20h55, SMPTY

SMPTY, pronounced “SEM-TI” or “SEM-TEE”, is an emerging electronic producer from the Ottawa area. At a young age, he fell in love with the cinematic soundtracks composed by John Williams and Hans Zimmer

However, it was when he discovered electronic music that he decided to get into it. Since 2016, he has been perfecting his craft in the hopes of one day performing at major electronic festivals.

Let yourself be carried away by the energy of a universe as unique as its name. With the experimentation of its main genres, namely Progressive house, electro-house and Bass-house, we are witnessing a real laboratory of sound Mashups. Seeing a SMPTY show is an invitation to a party where sound and visual effects are one!

 

 

21h00-22h00, KIZABA

KIZABA, ambassador of Congolese Afro House electronic music. Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, he offers a musically rich Congo.

On stage, he handles voice, drums and percussion by mixing electronic music and traditional sounds of Congo by creating an Afro-Futurist world.

KIZABA plays African percussions and drums and is accompanied, on stage, by musicians (saxophonist, guitarist, bassist and DJ) and dancers from different countries around the world. With his fascinating and electrifying Congolese Afro-house electronic music, his lyrics in French, Lingala and Kikongo, KIZABA offers a danceable and unifying show for the general public.

His album, Nzela was a discovery in 2017-2018 and his songs Éllé and Freedom are heard in rotation on Ici Musique Radio-Canada and satellite radio.
