Toronto’s 12 Annual Francophone Music Festival promises to be the best yet!

Francophonie en Fête is thrilled to announce its Best Music Festival Program ever, featuring an exciting lineup to celebrate Canada’s and Ontario’s 150th anniversary! The 12th edition of this well loved Toronto Francophone music festival  will dazzle you with free concerts, ticketed events and educational program, running  from September 21 to 30.

Festival opens with much-loved Quebec music icon, Jean-Pierre Ferland

Timeless Icon of Canadian music, Jean-Pierre Ferland is in concert on Friday September 22at 8 pm at the Randolph Theatre on Bathurst Street (south of Bloor).  A delightful cocktail event to celebrate the launch of the festival will also be held prior to the concert.  Guests can also purchase tickets to the pre-concert cocktail event where they will enjoy the wonderful sounds of Trio Hassiba as they savour delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

The Great Robert Charlebois on stage Sept 29th in Toronto

Francophonie en Fête draws another Canadian music superstar to the stage this year. Robert Charlebois, the iconic voice, the singer-songwriter from Montreal who achieved international acclaim will perform at the Randolph Theatre on Friday, September 29th at 8 pm. Opening for Robert Charlebois is Timmins native Cindy Doire. Cindy embraces an inspiring French jazz/folk music sound with her performances. She is known for her multilingual performances in French, English and Spanish.

This year, we collaborate with Conseil scolaire MonAvenir and Viamonde to celebrate Franco-Ontarian Day on September 25. A free noon-day concert at Mel Lastman Square in North York features Gabrielle Goulet, winner of the prestigious Trille D’Or in 2015.

Free Concerts on the OLG Stage at the Distillery all weekend long

A phenomenal 16 musical acts will be performing on the OLG Stage in the Distillery District on September 23th and September 24th!  The diverse range of sounds will offer something for everyone, with performances from Stephanie Martin, Eric St-Laurent, Gabrielle Goulet, Seydina Ndiaye, Amara Kanté, Matt Tomlinson, Amanie // Illfated, Kyris and many more.

Afro-Caribbean Music Extravaganza – Blockbuster Closing Concert Sept 30

The festival closes Saturday September 30th at the Randolph Theatre with an exciting Afro-Caribbean super-concert extravaganza.  Starting at 8:00 pm, we will bring the energizing sounds of opening acts Tifane, followed by the Juno Award Winning Okavango Orchestra Band on-stage at 9 pm. The sensational soul-rocker from Senegal, Elage Diouf is the final performer, on-stage at 10 pm, for a night and a festival which both promise to exceed all expectations!
